THE LODGE AT BALFOUR

BOULDER, CO

Located on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, this independent senior community is the final phase to the adjacent full care main campus. The design includes 95 rental apartments and 8 cottages. The plan is centered around a courtyard to provide protective outdoor space from the cold fall through spring winds. The apartment homes are built above below grade parking. The design inspiration is based on National Forest lodges and received a Colorado AIA People’s Choice Design Award.
